Pond Netting Wire System

Posted by Underwater Warehouse on Sep 23rd 2021

Stop building PVC Pond Netting tents!

Most pond owners and contractors use PVC pipe to help support the pond netting. Underwater Warehouse recommends installing pond netting using our Wire System. This system is easier to set up and store compared to the PVC support arches depending on the grade of the property.

  • Hammer rebar at edge of pond.

  • Create a loop one with end of the Nylon Wire by using the U-Bolts (see image) and place over the rebar.

  • Hammer rebar on the opposite side of pond.
  • Create another loop with the Nylon wire on the opposite side of the pond and place over rebar.

  • Attached a wire tensioner grommet on the Nylon wire and turn until the nylon wire is taut.

  • Repeat this step every 10 – 15 ft. Use longer lengths of rebar towards middle of pond to create a pitch.
  • Lay the pond netting on top of the nylon wire.
  • Use pond stakes to secure end of the nets to the ground for the fall and winter seasons.

  • Use a few well-placed rocks on the edges of the nets to allow the natural look of the ponds surroundings.
