The OASE ProfiClear Premium XL Gravity-Fed Drum Filter is a professional-grade, high-capacity mechanical filtration system designed for the most demanding koi ponds and large water features. Operating on a gravity-fed principle, this system allows for an unobtrusive installation where the filter sits at the same water level as the pond, maximizing energy efficiency and aesthetic appeal.
This fully automatic system utilizes a rotating drum with 60-micron filter sieves to strip fine debris and suspended solids from the water before they can break down into harmful ammonia and nitrites. When the sensors detect a buildup of waste, the high-pressure rinse cycle automatically activates, flushing the debris out of the system and into the waste discharge—providing truly hands-free maintenance.

This means the pump is placed after the filter, so it only handles clean water.
