Description
IonMate ULTRA150 Replacement Probe Assembly - DROP-IN Model
Restore Your Algae Control System to Peak Performance
The IonMate ULTRA150 Replacement Probe Assembly is specifically engineered for the Ultra150 series of electronic ionization systems. Over time, the copper probes in your ionization system naturally wear down as they release ions into the water to control algae growth. This replacement assembly allows you to easily swap out your exhausted probes, ensuring your system continues to prevent string algae and maintain a healthy aquatic environment.
This "Drop-In" model is designed for systems where the probe assembly is placed directly into a skimmer, pump vault, or filter chamber, rather than being plumbed into a pipe.
Key Features:
-
Authentic IonMate Part: Guaranteed compatibility with the IonMate ULTRA150 Electronic Algae Control System.
-
Effective Algae Control: High-purity copper probes release ions that mineralize string algae, keeping your rocks and waterfalls looking clean.
-
Easy Maintenance: The drop-in design makes replacement a simple process—no tools or plumbing modifications are required for the installation of the probe itself.
-
Durable Construction: Built to withstand submerged conditions in high-flow areas of your filtration system.
-
Fish and Plant Safe: When used as directed with the ULTRA150 controller, the ions released are safe for koi, goldfish, and aquatic plants.

When to Replace Your IonMate Probe Most IonMate probes last between one and two seasons depending on the water volume, initial algae levels, and the power setting on your controller. You should inspect your probes periodically; if they appear significantly thinned or have eroded down to the base, it is time for a replacement. Keeping a fresh probe assembly ensures that your pond doesn't suffer a sudden algae bloom during the peak of summer.
Installation Tip: When installing the new probe, ensure the connection points are clean and dry before plugging them into the controller lead. If your water is particularly hard, you may want to clean the probes once a month with a mild acid or a scrub pad to prevent calcium buildup, which can insulate the copper and reduce the system's effectiveness.
Note: This product includes the probe assembly only. The electronic controller and ionization chamber/vault are sold separately.
