Application Note: For best results in the winter, move the airstones to a shallower shelf (approximately 12 inches deep) to prevent cooling the warmer water at the bottom where fish hibernate. In the summer, place the stones at the deepest part of the pond to maximize oxygenation and eliminate "dead zones."
