We offer four styles of dense culture feed. Each one contains fish meal, poultry meal, blood meal and fish oil. Each can be fed to a wide variety of fish including catfish, tilapia, trout, salmon, hybrid striped bass and other cold and warmwater species.
F2A is a 43 percent protein sinking crumble, which is an excellent starter feed for juveniles. F2C is a 40 percent protein, 1/8" floating pellet that works well for sub-adult fish in tanks or ponds. F2E is the same formulation as F2C but is a 1/4" floating pellet. F2G is a 3/16" floating pellet with 36 percent protein and a better choice for pond fish and larger tilapia. All of the dense culture feeds are made by the extrusion method.
The extrusion method improves digestibility with less protein degradation. Ascorbic acid (a stabilized form of vitamin C) is added to all of our dense culture feeds.  Using a demand feeder will greatly decrease hand feeding labor. Increased growth rates of as much as 30 percent have been experienced using demand feeders. Other savings may be realized in improved feed conversion ratios and by a switch to less expensive sinking pellets. No power is required, as fish supply the energy by striking the only moving part, a rod that extends into the water. At each strike, a small amount of feed is dispersed (some individual adjustment required).
Made of smooth, durable, UV-resistant polyethylene, the semi-translucent hopper is 24" x 36" (60 x 90 cm) and shows the feed level at a glance. Hopper capacity is approximately 100 lbs (45 kg). Not Picky
The unique internal paddle mechanism slowly dispenses feed at your preprogrammed timed interval. Able to handle pellets from 1.5mm to 9.5mm in size, the medium capacity hopper holds up to 2-1/2 lbs. of fish food. A clear viewing window on the side of the feeder allows you to clearly see if its time to replenish the feeder.
Be lazy
Simple to program, the KoiChefs digital timer allows you to set up to four automatic feedings per day. You can program it to feed at any hour of the day or night and have it deliver either a single or double feeding. The double feeding mode delivers two feedings within 60 seconds of each other - allowing you to feed your fish up to 8 times per day. Each single feeding delivers approximately 15 grams of food, double feeding delivers up to 30 grams of feed. If you don't want to be lazy, just press the manual override and the KoiChef will automatically deliver one feeding at the press of a button!
Options Included
A hanging kit allows the KoiChef to hang from a tree branch, light post or any vertical beam hanging over your pond. A pole mounting kit is also included in case you want to mount it on your dock or vertical beam. The durable plastic construction will not rust and is Hunter Green in color so it won't stick out like a sore thumb. Tight snap-lock lid helps keep moisture out while ensuring rodents and birds don't peck away at your fish's dinner!
