Kasco de-icers are designed to prevent the formation of damaging ice around docks or boats. Thousands of these units are being used in marinas, harbors, waterfront developments and recreational ponds to prevent costly ice damage.
Kasco de-icers come complete with a 25' power cord and two 20' suspension ropes.
Three ways to install de-icers: Suspension ropes — hang de-icer between two fixed points. Ropes are included.
Dock mount — using the optional dock mount lets you attach the de-icer to a dock or piling. Dock mount is adjustable for depth and angle.
Floatation kit — suspending the de-icer horizontally with this floatation kit creates an elongated pattern of open water. Kit includes stainless steel mounting hardware and a foam float.
Filters that have not had water circulating through them for the winter should be cleaned well before turning the pump back on this spring. Cleaning will remove toxins that can develop from waste breaking down in the filter in the absence of oxygen. Once your filter is up and running, seed it with beneficial bacteria.
