Superfalls

These pumps are extremely energy efficient, with several models to choose from. Our 1/10 hp models draw less current than any other pumps we've ever seen. SUPER FALLS KJ4000LH pumps put out an amazing 60 gpm at only 2.3 amps (at 1' head)! Our low head pumps use 1/10 hp motors coupled to pumps of varying impellers to achieve flows of from 2100 gph (35 gpm) to 3600 gph (60 gpm). Our medium head pump model SUPER FALLS KJ4500MH uses a 1/2 hp motor to allow a higher flow of 4500 gph (75 gpm) and pressure with less amps than our nearest competitor (MDM ). With their super energy efficient motors, these pumps use much less electricity than the pumps used by most pond owners and can pay for themselves in energy savings in as little as 1 year. At a monthly cost of $10 / amp, it actually pays to replace existing pumps with these energy misers.

The high capacity, low head pumps are ideal for up-flow filters, waterfalls, or any high flow recirculation system that doesn't require high pressure. For higher pressure requirements, choose our 1/2 hp SUPER FALLS KJ4500MH. or other higher rated pumps as shown below. All pumps are supplied prewired with 115 volt or 230 volt cords as desired, and furnished with two slip fit unions for easy installation and removal. 230 volt available at $10 extra charge on models KJ4500MH thru KJ8500MH. All pumps are 2" inlet and outlet for highest possible performance.

Leaf traps for these pumps or any other pump are available. These large 6" traps have a clear plastic top with large "O" ring for positive seal and are easily opened and closed.

Koi & Pond Tip of the Day
December 2nd, 2008
Filters that have not had water circulating through them for the winter should be cleaned well before turning the pump back on this spring. Cleaning will remove toxins that can develop from waste breaking down in the filter in the absence of oxygen. Once your filter is up and running, seed it with beneficial bacteria.
