Dragon Pumps

The Dragon is the newest pump on the market, and great for bead filters.
The Dragon pumps are self-priming; capability of up to 4ft lift on the 1/3 hp and 2-1/2ft lift on the 1/4 hp, which is unbelievable for a low amperage pump.

The Dragon series pumps come with a built-in leaf trap that is a full twelve inches tall. This large leaf trap comes with an easy open cam-lock lid. This large leaf trap also reduces the amount of cleaning of the leaf trap.

  • World wide electrical capability - 115v or 230v. The 115v comes with a 6ft electrical cord
  • The pumps come with two inch unions, that are included in the price!
  • The motor in this pump is an American made "Baldor". Ask anyone in the industry and they will tell you that Baldor motors are long lasting and dependable.
  • It's the ultimate bead filter pump, and the best all-around pump for anyone who wants years and years of service out of a pump. And with this being an external pump, it helps protect both you and your fish from annoying and potentially dangerous oil or electrical leaks.
  • The Dragon pumps come with a 3-year limited warranty on the motor!

Koi & Pond Tip of the Day
December 2nd, 2008
Filters that have not had water circulating through them for the winter should be cleaned well before turning the pump back on this spring. Cleaning will remove toxins that can develop from waste breaking down in the filter in the absence of oxygen. Once your filter is up and running, seed it with beneficial bacteria.
