Phosclear Phosphate Control

Phosclear Phosphate Control

Alum is widely recognized as a great way to reduce phosphates and create crystal clear water. Alum is aluminum sulfate, when the aluminum ions bond with the phosphate molecules they become insoluble in the water, no longer available as a nutrient.

The aluminum ions also attract dirt particles which, when drawn together, become heavy and settle to the bottom resulting in sparkling clear water! The pH of the water must be below 8.2 before treating with Phosclear!

This product has no use restrictions.

Application rates vary from 17-70 lbs per acre foot of water.

Koi & Pond Tip of the Day
January 8th, 2009
When potting up or dividing your aquatic plants it is best to use the largest pot that your pond has space for. This will maximize the time your plants have in the pot before they need to be divided.
