Their metabolism is higher due to the higher water temperature. During the summer goldfish and koi require a protein-rich food for body and fin growth. Pond fish use the amino acids in protein to make new tissue and for energy. Summer Staple Pond Food contains a variety of easily digestible protein-rich ingredients including fish meal, in a highly palatable floating pellet. Directions For Use:
When water temperature is warm, 65° to 70°F (18° to 21°C) and above, feed fish with Summer Staple Staple Pond Food two to four times a day, in amounts no greater than fish can consume within a few minutes. Use care not to overfeed, especially when water temperature is above 90°F 32°C).
