Common Terms
(and what they mean)

S or Slip: A regular hub. The pipe glues into this (same O.D. as coupling)
Mips: Male pipe threads on the outside of fitting
Fips: Female pipe threads on the inside of fitting
Mipt: Male pipe threads on the outside of fitting (same as Mips)
Fipt: Female pipe threads on the inside of fitting (same as Fips)
Spigot or SP: The same size as the pipe. Will glue into another fitting
MHT: Male hose threads (garden hose)
FHT: Female hose threads (garden hose)
Barb: Barbed fitting
Saddle: Attaches to the side of pipe
