PolyGeyser Bead Filters
The PolyGeyser Bead Filter is automatically self-cleaning without moving parts or electronics, contains EN (Enhanced Nitrification) media that offers 50% to 100% greater nitrification than standard beads, and is capable of providing mechanical filtration down to 5 micron particle size!
Very resistant to clogging and caking because they backwash automatically every few hours using a burst of air from the charge chamber. DFPs is for systems with a water pump, DFAs is an airlift version for gravity flow systems. Water and air flow into the vessel continuously. Water goes in the lower pipe, up through the beads and back to the system. Air is pumped into the charge chamber, and when it builds to 4.5 cubic feet, it "burps" up through the bed of beads, knocking the debris off of them (.038 cfm = 1 backwash (burp) every 2 hours). The debris then settles to the bottom and is removed through the 1" sludge valve every 2–3 days.
The PolyGeyser filter can be installed underneath or above water level. Any low amp water pump (Sequence Recommended) can be used as a circulation pump. The PolyGeyser has the lowest possible pressure loss because it uses no multiport-valve. Inlets and outlets are 3". It’s already being used in aquaculture, and now it’s ready for koi ponds.
- Fully automated cleaning without moving parts or electronics!
- No more clogging filters when you forget a cleaning cycle.
- Special beads that offer 50% to 100% greater nitrification
- Bio and mechanical filtrationin one unit
- Mechanical filtration down to 5 micron!
- For installation underneath and above water level
- Can be used with low wattage pumps for high efficiency
- Very little water loss with each waste water dump
An air pump is required and is not included; it must produce more pressure than the water pump/system head. A check valve must be used in the air line. Ships via motor freight. One-year warranty.

Propeller-Washed Bead Filters
Solids capture is one of the most important processes in a recirculating system. Although sedimentation/settling basins are generally effective for settleable solids larger than 80 microns, spac ...
