These assembly includes 6" air diffusers, a underlay plate (to keep diffuser out of mud) and a check valve to prevent water from backing up into the airline. Standard air hose fitting is 1/2".
4-Stone Diffuser Manifold - Typically used where the depth is less than 8' or in smaller ponds with smaller compressors. It requires 1.5 to 2.4 cfm. S1 underlay (included) prevents sediment erosion and suspension. Outlet 1/2" male barb fitting and 4 ALR23M Sweetwater® diffusers also included.
6-Stone Diffuser Manifold - Usually recommended in 8' to 40' of water and requires 3–7 cfm. S1 underlay (included) prevents sediment erosion and suspension. Outlet 1/2" male barb fitting and 6 ALR23M Sweetwater® diffusers also included.
8-Stone Diffuser Manifold - The MOAD ("Mother of All Diffusers"). Use this for the really deep lakes. Requires 6–10 cfm and it has a 5/8" hose barb inlet. Incldues 8 ALR23M Sweetwater® diffusers.
You should stop feeding your aquatic plants about a month before the first frost in your area. Even in areas that don't normally have frost, plant growth slows in the shorter, cooler days of the fall and winter months.
