Cal Pump Bio-Filters

Biological filters are installed in a pond to aid in the ecological balance of the water. Beneficial bacteria colonize inside the filter and help convert harmful ammonia to nitrites, and then to nitrates, which is food for aquatic plants.

With a Cal Pump filter in your pond, you can have a clear, beautiful and healthy environment for your fish.

These filters are sized according to the volume of water in your pond. Constructed of heavy-duty perforated pipe, these filters provide maximum flow of water through the media.

Koi & Pond Tip of the Day
January 6th, 2009
Koi can be very hard on your plants because of their persistent rooting habits. They will root around looking for insects and larvae to feed on. Any valuable plants should be planted in tubs, which are then placed in the pond.
